MEMBERSHIP OVERVIEW
Southern Maryland Archery (SMA) Club Memberships is based on a calendar year (January 1st – December 31st). We have two types of memberships: Annual (Jan.-Dec.) and Bi-Annual (Jul.-Dec.) and Bi-Annual membership. This option is not available until July 1st.

NOTE: Membership gives you access to our club and amenities, but it doesn’t include practices nor use of our equipment. Archery practices are ongoing on a rolling basis meaning the level of archery experience does not matter when the archer joins our club because our practices teach those without experience i.e. beginners as well as intermediate and advance.

MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES FAMILY MEMBERSHIP

FAMILY OF 4 + $10 EACH ADDITIONAL MEMBER: Members consist of up to four (4) immediate family members to include at least one (1) parent/legal guardian or up to two (2) spouses. Child(ren) must be under the age of 18 or full-time college student under the age of 22.
INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP: Members consist of individual memberships as an Adult, Youth, or Young Adult.

OUR ARCHERY PROGRAMS FOR PRACTICES
These are our archery programs that includes practices, which are held every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month.

Junior Olympic Archery Development Program (JOAD): $30 |  JOAD is a program of USA Archery that helps archers to enjoy the sport recreationally or progress to the excitement of competition! JOAD offers barebow, recurve, and compound archers the opportunity to learn range safety and proper shooting technique in an environment that also fosters focus, increased self-confidence, and team-building skills. JOAD is open to any youth archer aged 8 to 20 and is designed to grow with the youth archer.

Adult Archery Program (AAP): $30 | What does the Adult Archery Program offer the archer? In addition to receiving clear instruction and coaching via our National Training System, membership in an archery program provides unique benefits to adults, including the opportunity to continue to advance in the sport of archery, earn pins and ribbons, a great upper-body workout, the chance to build self-confidence, and learn team-building skills.

WORKING MEMBER VS NON-WORKING MEMBER
We are a membership-driven club and we depend on our members to volunteer work hours for the upkeep the SMA club.

Non-Working Member: If you are unable to volunteer time to support the SMA Club, then your membership is either a Non-Working Individual or Non-Working Family.

The additional fee is $100 for Non-Working Individual and $180 for a Non-Working Family of 4.

Working Member: If you are able to volunteer, then there isn’t an additional cost. Please note that you will be required to volunteer a minimum of 20-hours for an Individual Membership and 40-hours for a Family Membership. A working member volunteers to support our club i.e. concessions, mowing, weed whacking, mopping, etc.

EQUIPMENT NEEDS

If you don't have archery equipment, then don't worry. You can utilize the SMA Club's equipment as we navigate which bow you are comfortable shooting.
